When you order VOICEbooks on line and wish to pay by credit card, you need to provide your name and postal address, your e-mail address and the number and expiration date of your credit card. This will allow the download operations to be validated immediately, while strictly following the security guidelines set out below.
We use your e-mail address to send you important information about our website and about the catalog of VOICEbooks and associated services.
We also give you the option of giving us your telephone number, which we will only use if we need to contact you urgently if there is a problem – we would love to talk to you more often but unfortunately we can't do that AND create VOICEbooks for you! We use the information provided with your User Profile to plan improvements to our catalog of VOICEbooks and associated services. We look very carefully at your wants, needs and suggestions to provide you with the service you would like to have.
Protecting this information
When you pay by credit card, we use a secure server to transmit your credit card details. The secure server software encrypts all of the information you type in before it is sent to us. Your credit card data is not available to us.
In order to ensure that no unauthorized person can gain access to your data, we follow strict guidelines on data storage and transmission. So we will sometimes ask you to prove your identity before sending you confidential information such as your password. We do this, for example, by asking you to answer the Personal Question which you entered when you first registered with us.
